Along with a few other NGOs CRG participated in the drafting of the first state legislation in the country for the protection of children, the Goa Children’s Act(GCA), enacted in July 2003. This law attempts to make the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child(UNCRC) legally enforceable and has specific provisions to deal with travelling sex offenders.
