The annual Bal Mela, organised by Children's Rights in Goa (CRG), commemorates India's adoption of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) on December 11, 1992. Since 2005, each Bal Mela has embraced a theme derived from the Goa Children's Act, infusing excitement with various activities and games. Schools from North Goa and CRG's Child Activity Centre actively engage in the event, fostering awareness and celebration of children's rights.
